Michelle Samaniego has been with Walgreens for over 11 years, and during her tenure she has held various roles across the organization. She began her Walgreens career as an Associate Category Manager in Procurement in 2011. She was promoted to a Global Procurement Category Manager in 2016 before transitioning to the Retail Property team in February 2021, when she took on the role of Senior Corporate Facilities Asset Manager responsible for reactive capital and ADA/compliance teams.

In December, Michelle was promoted to Director, Store Care Facilities. She currently manages a team responsible for repairs and replacements for specific capital assets for over 8,500 retail locations. She is also an active member of the Walgreens Business Resource Group, Latinos Professional Network.

Prior to joining Walgreens, Michelle worked as a Director of Procurement & Program Management in the co-packing industry. She graduated from DePaul University, with a major in Business Management.

Michelle was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambada, Adult Honor Society in Chicago, Ill., and she is an annual executive challenger in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
