Eddie Bowles is a retail industry professional with over 30 years of ex-perience on both the tenant and landlord sides of the business. He cur-rently serves as Senior Director of Tenant Coordination in the retail di-vision of Brookfield Properties, the second largest shopping center de-veloper/owner in the U.S with over 140 retail properties across 48 states. The portfolio includes mixed-use, multi-family and hospitality, with the vision of reimagining through redevelopment. Eddie is based in Chicago, having also spent several years in the Los Angeles and New York City offices.
His experience ranges from retail store management, POS IT manage-ment, store operations, training, facilities services, corporate services, leasing, design and construction management. Prior to Brookfield Prop-erties, Eddie worked with retailers such as Sam Goody, The Disney Store, Frederick’s of Hollywood, Metropark, Love Culture and Land-lord Developer GGP — now Brookfield Properties.
He also serves on Brookfield Properties Partner to Empower Team, a program committed and dedicated to help break down the systemic ra-cial barriers that members of our communities’ face in developing retail entrepreneurship. Through advocacy, business planning and guidance, resources, funding, and business workshops, the program’s goal is to help business owners of color, including, but not limited to Black, In-digenous, Hispanic, Asian, and Pacific Islander Americans, open brick-and-mortar stores in their shopping centers.
