LaShondra Holmes Stringfellow is assistant director of the Development Services Department at the City of Fort Worth. In her role, she leads the zoning and design review section.

She has over 20 years of experience working for Texas municipalities including Dallas, Arlington, McKinney, Cedar Hill and League City. Her portfolio includes site plan and subdivision review, zoning changes for small and large developments, code amendments, comprehensive planning, area plans, and major changes to process and service delivery.

Throughout her career, she has managed code amendments for zoning and subdivision ordinance re-writes, city-wide rezoning, gas well drilling, alcoholic beverage uses, and commercial design standards. Stringfellow’s work requires her to find solutions to complex problems and present solutions to various audiences; interact with people from different backgrounds and perspectives to find common ground; stay abreast of legislative affairs; and learn new systems and laws to teach others how to apply them in our daily practice.

Throughout her roles as manager or director, her teams have received three Texas American Planning Association awards.

Stringfellow has a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master's degree in city and regional planning from the University of Texas at Arlington.
